Ended up with a shredded serpentine belt highway 10 between El Paso and Tucson on my way to Phoenix. Had to be towed and luckily found Fox Land. Rico was extremely nice and knowledgable. He tried very hard to get the parts I needed from multiple sources before the weekend and when it was clear that wasn't gong to happen he gave me great advice on where to eat and sleep while my 2000 VM Winnebago Rialta was being repaired and dropped me off at the hotel. Affordable, family owned and operated business. Great find!

I’m in the middle of a long cross-country road trip, and needed some last-minute service done on my VW Vanagon to get me back on the road. Rico and Nacho (and their mechanics) are awesome! They squeezed me in and got the work done while I waited. Great guys, and a great shop. Thanks!

I have been using Foxland for many years now and they have always been fair, honest, reliable, and transparent. They always do a really good job on a timely manner. The staff is professional, courteous, and friendly. I wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else. I highly recommend.

Very good service, they looked into things I didn't even asked them to and had my car ready in a fraction of the time it would have taken any other big commercial shop (using quality parts as well). They explained me what they were going to do in detail and a good distribution of the price. I came in in a hurry of getting something done because there are not many places open on a Saturday. But, I'll be coming back there for my following maintenance because their quality and hospitality really shows in this Pop and Son shop.

On a road trip from Oregon through the Southwest in my 1984 Westy when it developed a severe coolant leak. Didn't know anyone local, so I called Foxland based on a listing online, and really lucked out by finding Rico. He went out of his way to help me on little notice, making a creative fix so I could get back on the road. He also noticed some other essential repairs that needed to be made to prevent another breakdown, and he handled them quickly and well. Extremely reasonable prices and just a great guy.

The a/c on our Westfalia went out right before our drive from El Paso to California. Stopped by this shop fingers crossed they could recharge it, and they squeezed us in even though they were super busy. Rico and his dad went out of their way to get us back on the road comfortably and also happened to be extremely friendly, helpful people. Cannot recommend this shop, or these lovely people enough. Great people, great work.

Ricardo was extremely helpful to me. I am not the most knowledgeable car person, so I was somewhat skeptical about mechanics because of the bad rep they get. Ricardo was upfront about the costs, he also told me to look at the computer booting up the diagnostic next to him. He was very patient and explained every single warning on the screen, and told me which of those warnings aren’t really that important. He had ample knowledge about volkswagen, which pieces are likely culprit for certain malfunctions. For example, I had gone to two mechanics who didn’t specialize on volkswagen, they wanted to charge me manual labor plus new breaks and plates for an issue with my breaks. Ricardo looked at the break, and explained that bad breaks would make a loud sound and that the unresponsiveness of my breaks was likely an issue with the booster. In other words, he looks for cheaper solutions and didn’t want to overcharge for services that weren’t needed. I’d recommend Ricardo to a family member if they were having issues with their volkswagen. Thanks again Ric.

I was stranded in the area with a fuel system issue on my 86 Vanagon. I specifically requested to get towed to Rico's shop. He diagnosed the issue, replaced the fuel filter and fuel pump, and explained other diagnostics or replacements I should perform as soon as I got back to San Antonio. He was very thorough in his test drives to make sure that I would be safe all the way home. He also took the time to teach me a few important lessons about my air intake system and master control valve. He was exceptionally kind and patient and got me back on the road in no time. Thank you Rico!

It needs to be said again, Rico and his dad ROCK! Like so many others, we were in need of help with our 72 Camper and they saw it, diagnosed it and fixed it! Great price, great explanations and great confidence that it was fixed right. We had the engine rebuilt last summer and all the pep was gone from our little 4 cylinder. He did a compression test, added an electronic ignition component that replaced the points and condenser. We feel blessed to have found these two gentlemen and are thrilled that a next generation mechanic is helping so many of us who still drive these silly old machines!🤪🤪👍❤️

Absolutely love this shop! From the communication to the owner just being such a great caring person it's hard to think of a reason not to go back. He got my 67 dialed in and running like a top!
